Don Rearden

Don Rearden is a screenwriter, poet, and the author of the critically acclaimed novel, The Raven’s Gift, which made The Washington Post Notable List for Fiction. He teaches writing as a Professor at the University of Alaska. Recent honors include a Contributions to Literacy in Alaska Award from the Alaska Center for the Book and a Rasmuson Individual Artist Project award. The Raven’s Gift was selected as the novel for the 2015 Anchorage Reads program. Rearden considers the tundra of southwestern Alaska home, but lives with his wife and two kids in Bear Valley. His latest work is Never Quit, a memoir he co-wrote, published by St. Martins in 2017.
