  • National Endowment for the Arts – Resources to help Ensure Accessibility of Your Virtual Events for People with DisabilitiesSince the start of the current COVID-19 crisis, artists and arts and culture organizations have been proactive in reaching out to their audiences and communities with webinars, live-streamed performances, and virtual visual art collections and museum tours. We wanted to take this moment to remind cultural organizations of the importance of ensuring that people with disabilities are able to access these invaluable resources.

Read This FirstIn light of the COVID-19 outbreak, many artists are turning to live streaming—some for the first time—to present their work. We reached out to Creative Capital Awardee Yara Travieso and Brighid Greene who gained a lot of first-hand experience for using live streaming platforms. In 2017, they explored all the options to present a live stream version of the Creative Capital Project, La Medea, an immersive musical performance that reimagines Euripides tragedy as alive broadcast Latin-disco-pop variety show.
