Latitude Travel Scholarships

 The deadline to apply for Travel Scholarships has passed and applications are no longer being accepted. 

Latitude travel scholarships will cover, if awarded, up to 75% of the total actual airfare or vehicle mileage and lodging costs or $400, whichever is less. Support for these travel scholarships is provided by Rasmuson Foundation. Scholarships will be provided on a reimbursement basis,  after recipients have submitted the required receipts. You must submit your travel receipts to Alaska State Council on the Arts, 161 Klevin Street, Suite 102, Anchorage, AK 99508-1506. Funds are only applicable for travel to and from the 2014 Latitude: 2014 Alaska Arts Convergence in Anchorage on  May 1-3.

Rasmuson Travel Scholarship Final Report.FY14

Eligibility: Visual, literary, performing, and traditional artists with emerging or professional status, as well as arts administrators and volunteers, including board members of arts non-profit agencies. Applicants must:

  • be an Alaskan resident
  • be at least 18 years of age at the time of the application
  • not enrolled as a full-time student during the period of the grant
  • not have accepted a Career Opportunity Grant for the same event

Deadline: April 11, 2014. Please note: funds will be distributed to eligible applicants on a rolling basis, so we strongly encourage applicants to submit their requests immediately after  registering for the conference.

If awarded a travel stipend please submit all travel receipts, mileage report and ticket stubs no later than May 12, 2014 (postmarked). Keep Your receipts. Late or incomplete submissions will not be reimbursed.
